Il 23 giugno si celebrerà il "Boy love day", la giornata dei pedofili.
Un'iniziativa internazionale promossa da diverse associazioni che dialogano attraverso siti internet con lo scopo di diffondere la "cultura della pedofilia" e solidarizzare con i violentatori di bambini in carcere. Nei siti, oltre agli appelli per "accendere una candela azzurra", compaiono foto di minori semi-nudi e chiari inviti al sesso libero tra adulti e adolescenti. Di fronte ad un tale scempio, ci appelliamo all'Unione Europea, all'Unicef e a tutte le istituzioni affinchè il "Boy love day" non si celebri e affinchè vengano oscurati tutti i siti Internet dove si sta propagando questa iniziativa.

<B>In the summer of 1999, after I had been active on the Internet for over two years, I began to realize that there was very little - if any - rational information available on the issues of sexually expressed boyhood relationship with older males, and that there was a pressing need for published books and articles explaining and defending what has come to be known as responsible boylove. I realized that I was - and still am - minimally qualified to undertake such a task, but those who are much more qualified than myself cannot do so, as they have careers, families, and a future about which to be concerned. For them to openly publish the positions that they have communicated to me privately would be social, professional, and academic suicide. I, on the other hand, being well up in years and retired, and with no remaining family, do not have these constraints.
I would note that I have looked into International Paedophile & Child Emancipation (IPCE), North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA), Male Homosexual Attraction to Minors (MHAMic), and Cerius Love, among others. After investigating these entities, I find that I cannot in good conscience support or condone many of their positions and activities, therefore I have completely disassociated myself from all of them. Sexually expressed relationships between boys past mid-adolescence and older males, which are essentially a question of homosexuality rather than boylove, as well as so-called "girl love," i.e., sexually expressed relationships between girls and older males, are beyond the scope of my investigations, therefore I do not in any way entangle myself in either of those issues.
I have been involved in various Internet discussion forums and newsgroups for nearly a decade, and, beginning in January of 1998, I - with the occasional help of several others - operated the "SafeHaven" forum, which was intended to be a place for sober and intelligent discussion of the issues of sexually expressed boyhood relationship with older males. While this forum ran for several years and was modestly successful in addressing the issues, there were simply not enough participants to keep it going, and it was discontinued in March of 2005. The remaining forums of which I am aware, while they may be operated by one or a few well-meaning and reasonably rational individuals, are essentially populated and flooded by self-aggrandizing, mutual back-scratching yet constantly bickering lunatic fringes whose ethics have nothing to do with "responsible boylove," and who are minimally representative of the millions who are involved in consensual sexually expressed relationships with boys. However, these forums also usually harbor a few dedicated individuals who try in vain to foster rational discussion of real issues, as well as a smattering of innocuous good-natured people who try to be pleasant and entertaining. Much is claimed about mutual support and counsel, but the propriety, quality, and effectiveness of these is at best questionable, largely consisting of warm and fuzzy, but essentially vacuous, "you are not alone" assurances. Unfortunately, an unknown but significant number of former participants are, in spite of these ministrations, currently in prison, and at least one is dead at his own hand.
Therefore, after years of frustrating experiences and agonizing introspection, I have been forced to conclude that as far as any hope for progress in the understanding of the issues is concerned, especially by those who are not part of the greater and invisible worldwide boylove community, the net effect of the current forums is not in any way helpful or positive, but instead is quite harmful and negative. Unprincipled opportunists such as Kurt Eichenwald derive an endless supply of derogatory citations for their perverted writings, and witch hunting vigilante groups such as the appropriately titled "Perverted Justice" find these forums to be quite useful as "lightning rods" for their campaigns of exaggerations, lies and blind hate. While these forums will no doubt persist, some better way of communicating and advocating the real issues of responsible boylove desperately needs to be found.
My first effort at publishing was Understanding Loved Boys and Boylovers, a small paperback which I started writing in the fall of 1999 and published in March of 2000. I was fortunate in having some very excellent advice and counsel even back then. Except for a flurry now and then caused by attacks on the book by radicals, it sold very modestly. On 2 May 2005 the supply was exhausted and the book is now out of print, although an electronic "ebook" version is available.
Since publishing that book, I have become acquainted with more and more academics and professionals, some in the fields of psychology and sociology, others in unrelated fields. Almost all of these experienced and highly qualified informal advisors, many whose names would be recognized, are published authors in their fields, and most hold a Ph.D. My career was in another field, and I do not have an academic background, but in June of 2005 I was awarded a BA in Psychology from a fully accredited state college. I have conducted research on the Internet, and have written various papers for submission to scientific journals. The data and inevitable conclusions in these articles are unpalatable to most editors, and I find it necessary to fine tune these papers to achieve an acceptable balance between what, on one hand, is likely to be accepted for publishing, and, on the other hand, is a substantive presentation and discussion of the data and their ramifications.
As noted below, a few articles have been accepted for publication. and I intend to persevere in submitting other articles to various journals indefinitely.
I will answer civil emails, and am willing to discuss individual and group "real life" meetings with like minded people. I am especially interested in communicating with undergraduate and graduate students who share my observations and positions on these issues. However, I will respond to radio or television inquiries only in written format.

La pericolosità di una simile iniziativa è denunciata dall' associazione anti-pedofilia Meter: «Con la proclamazione del Boy Love Day si sta cercando una legittimazione a livello culturale della pedofilia attraverso il boyloving, una forma d' amore per i bambini che vive tra abuso sessuale e attenzioni troppo particolari». Sul sito ibld.net, che si è fatto promotore del «Boy Love Day», sono in corso verifiche da parte della polizia postale italiana, in collaborazione con le autorità tedesche (il server è in Germania) per disposizione del ministro dell' Interno Giuliano Amato che chiede di interdirne l' accesso dall' Italia. Mentre il ministro per la Salute Rosy Bindi, quello delle Pari Opportunità Barbara Pollastrini, i sindaci di Roma Walter Veltroni, di Bologna Sergio Cofferati e di Napoli Rosa Russo Iervolino ne chiedono la chiusura. La mobilitazione contro la giornata pedofila è grande in tutto il mondo. Nel nostro Paese, la free-press EPolis, attraverso il suo sito Internet, ha lanciato l' appello internazionale «Fermate gli orchi» che ha già raccolto 40 mila adesioni, per impedire ogni celebrazione del «Boy Love Day». Il «filosofo» afferma di «condannare ogni forma di relazione sessuale tra un bambino e un adulto che non sia consenziente. Ma se i due sono consenzienti, non c' è crimine». La delirante tesi è che «ogni padre, ogni nonno, ogni zio può essere un pedofilo» e che «spesso, un bambino che denuncia un abuso sessuale non lo fa perché è convinto di aver subito una violenza. Lo fa perché sobillato dall' inappropriata reazione della sua famiglia o degli insegnanti». Gli orchi vanno fermati. * * * La pedofilia in Italia 2.406. A parte il doveroso gesto simbolico da parte delle istituzioni cosa vogliono fare?
Mandare un poliziotto a casa di ogni pedofilo per sincerarsi che nessuno festeggi?

Il bello è che dopo che quel giorno (inevitabilmente) non succederà proprio niente, magari ci sarà qualcuno che dirà: "Guardate quanto siamo stati bravi, abbiamo bloccato le manifestazioni dei pedofili"!
