Che intendi per destino? Intendi che noi con le nostre azioni non possiamo cambiare il nostro futuro?

io credo nel destino inteso come la successione di eventi che ci devono accadere...la nostra risposta a questi rimane libera...

Allora non credo nel destino visto che noi, essendo esseri razionali e dai comportamenti imprevedibili, con le nsotre azioni, POSSIAMO modificare realmente il nostro futuro....pensa anche solo ad una cosa banale, cioè pensa se ad esempio alle superiori non avessi scelto quella scuola che hai scelto, la tua vita sarebbe cambiata e anche notevolmente....poi, anche se non ce ne accogiamo, anche la più piccola nostra azione, ad esempio uscire di casa e farsi una passeggiata con un amico, può cambiare in modo imprevedibile la nostra vita, altro che il destino è gia predefinito! Abbiamo noi il potere di costruire il nostro futuro, e scusate se è poco....

non credo di poter modificare in toto il mio futuro.....
e poi mi piace credere che in fondo c'è qualcosa di superiore,che non è tutto così razionale....L'altra riabilitazione

There comes a time in all of our lives when we have to ask ourselves, “Where are we headed in this life and the next?” This question for most of us is dealt with at different times of our lives for many different reasons. For me, the time is now!
For many years as a bodybuilder, I have acknowledge the selfish commitment to the game if I were to be the best I can be, as a person and an athlete. I feel I have reached heights in this sport that I never could have imagined as a 17-year-old high school football player and wanna- be bodybuilder. I looked deep into my soul at times to find determination to stay the course. I turned people away from me when I thought they would interfere with my thought process of becoming the best I could be. My detractors were pawns being used as fuel at times I felt I could benefit from their negative vibes. See, jealousy of another person’s success can be fuel needed for hard-core training sessions but the object is to find out who these people are and keep them close to you when the time of need is near. I would use these people I felt were not really my friends but rather hanger ons, as they would drop my name when it served them best or use me for free rides, food and money when I knew my success is why they were around me. However, there comes a time in a persons life where the plan of LIFE becomes bigger than who you can use or get over on. How I could benefit from negative people is no longer a tool I use in life to get from point A to Z.
Maturity has a way of creeping up on all of us. It brings gifts such as consideration of others, responsibility, duty and honor. More importantly, maturity gives one a sense of self and spiritual awareness. I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ but I also feel I have for many years short changed myself by not giving more of myself to Him and acknowledging the gifts he has provided me with as tools to influence and motivate others. At 36 years old, I realize it is not too late! I realize that many of us can benefit from opening our minds to the inevitable fact that life here on earth is not the end but the beginning. There is a bigger picture in this snap shot called “Life.” I am ready to embrace Him and explore the love of life he has given me. I realize, I did not become the person I am today without the guidance of the Lord our God. Through the many sacrifices I have made to get to where I am today, I firmly believe that without His guiding hand to show me the way I would never have been the success that I am. I feel He is the “Glue” that held me together and the time has come for me to embrace His offerings and share them with you. I am not a holy person, however I am a very good student when the time for learning lessons is at hand.
I am going back to school, as I have been a way for far too long.
The first step for Shawn Ray, is to FORGIVE all those whom have wronged me.
The second, is to find my way home and back into His house of worship.
Third, is to acknowledge that I am not a perfect person but I am willing to work on being a better person.
Finally, I would thank my good friend Dan English for showing me the way and inspiring me to inquire about why I am here on God’s Green Earth and to prepare for where I want to be when I am no longer on here.
We all have decisions to make about what we want to do with our lives and how we want to get there but I for one, have put the greatest inspirational influence of my life on the back burner for far too long and recognize I have some catching up to do in His name.
Take what you will from this and hopefully you can look inward at where you are right now and try to make things right with your lives to fulfill what is missing in your life to be all you can be! I know I have my work cut out for me but learning His lessons will certainly be easier than what I have had to endure on the pro circuit in bodybuilding and believe me when I say, “I welcome Him into my world and look forward to sharing Him in yours!”
