Una storiella che sarebbe anche divertente se non fosse di fatto drammatica (l'ho cercata in rete perche' al ricordavo, questa e' presa dal sito di al jazeera):
At a dinner of world leaders in 1994, the then Russian president, Boris Yeltsin, was complaining about the failure of the Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe (CSCE) to help the Kremlin solve the Chechnya crisis.
The Swedish PM, Carl Bildt turned to Berlusconi and suggested that since Italy held the chairmanship of the CSCE, he should explain things to Yeltsin. Berlusconi talked for 25 minutes and made a statement about Europe's future and war.
Impressed by his performance, French President François Mitterand told Berlusconi: "Fine, we'll leave it in your hands." When the meal was over, Berlusconi went up to the Spanish PM, Felipe Gonzalez, and asked him: "What is the CSCE, anyway?".
According to Berlusconi himself, Gonzalez started laughing uncontrollably and ended up in splits on the floor and the Italian PM had to pick him up.
