ABOUT JEJU CTY
Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, or Jeju Province (Jeju-do) for short, is the only special self-governing province of the Republic Of Korea, situated on, and coterminous with, the country's largest island. Jeju-do lies in the Korea Strait, located at southern tip of the Korean peninsula and southwest of Jeollanam-do Province. The shape of the island is oval and long diameter of 74Km and short diameter of 32Km. Its capital is Jeju City.
Formerly known to Europeans as Quelpart, Jeju-do is a volcanic island created entirely from volcanic eruptions approximately 2 million years ago, during the time period from the Tertiary to the beginning of the Quaternary period. It consists chiefly of basalt and lava with 360 small volcanoes and dominated by the extinct volcano Mt. Halla-san in the center of the island.
Mt. Halla-san is the highest mountain in South Korea at 1,950 meters high with a volcanic lake at its summit. Jeju-do has a subtropical climate, warmer than the rest of Korea, with four distinct seasons. Half of the summer is rainy, and the winter is fairly dry. Due to Jeju-do’s unique climate, the dormant behemoth that is Mt. Halla-san features flora and fauna of both temperate and tropical varieties coexisting on the mountain stretching down to the sea.
Jeju-do is one of the most unpolluted places in Asia as it has no manufacturing; most income of its local people is derived from tourism, agriculture and fishing. Maintaining the island’s ecology is therefore a high priority for the local government and indiscriminate development of many places is strictly prohibited. As such, it is the premier tourist destination in Korea because of its stunning natural scenery coupled with superior tourist amenities; scenic beaches, waterfalls, cliffs and caves co-exist in perfect harmony with modern creature comforts. Many possibilities for water sports like scuba-diving, sea kayaking, windsurfing, parasailing are available which, together with the mild weather, makes Jeju-do an even more ideal tourist destination.

ATHLETES WITHOUT DELEGATES
All Athletes competing at IFBB World Championships must be Members in Good Standing of their National Federations. Any Athlete who arrives without a Delegate must carry an Official Letter of Authorization of Participation from his National Federation, failing which the Athlete will not be allowed to participate.
FAILURE TO HONOR FINAL ENTRY FORM DEADLINE
Deadlines are set to assist the Organizer with arranging accommodations, meals, onsite transportation and other Championship activities. A failure to respect these deadlines is a breach of IFBB Rules.
If a National Federation fails to respect the deadline written on the Final Entry Form, each “Official Participant” from that federation will be required to pay all of his or her own expenses, including accommodations, meals, onsite transportation, and access to the Prejudging, Finals and Farewell Banquet.
MISREPRESENTATION
Misrepresentation is a serious breach of the IFBB Code of Ethics and occurs when an “official” of a National Federation deliberately misrepresents the number of Athletes and Delegates so as to obtain free-of-charge accommodations, meals, onsite transportation, access to the Prejudging, Finals and Farewell Banquet, and other amenities at the expense of the Organizer.
Part of this misrepresentation may be a false claim that a person is an Athlete only to have that so-called Athlete fail to officially register as a competitor at the Weigh-in or, once having officially registered, fail to compete.
Any National Federation found guilty of misrepresentation will be immediately disqualified from the Championships and will be fined an amount equal to the Special Package Rate for each person involved.
MEDICAL WITHDRAWAL
Once officially registered, no Athlete may withdraw from competition without the prior approval of the IFBB Chief Judge. It is not acceptable for a National Federation to unilaterally withdraw an Athlete without the prior approval of the IFBB Chief Judge, who has the right to verify the reason for the withdrawal.
Any National Federation that fails to seek the prior approval of the IFBB Chief Judge before withdrawing an Athlete shall, for that Athlete’s non-participation, be fined an amount equal to the Special Package Rate.
ATTENDANCE AT THE IFBB INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS
It is the duty and responsibility of each National Federation to ensure that it is represented at the IFBB International Congress meeting. All National Federations officially participating in the Championships must also attend the Congress, including National Federations with athletes and no delegates. In this case, the athlete must attend and represent his country at the Congress.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
A National Federation that is officially registered as participating in the Championships and that fails to attend the IFBB International Congress will be fined an amount equal to the Special Package Rate
for each member of the National Team.
