The method for preparing the powder mix includes placing the 5000 mg of creatine monohydrate in a mixing vessel. The soda ash is then added to adjust the pH of the mixture from 7-14. After the pH has been adjusted, the sugar, natural and/or artificial flavors, and the aspartame, acesulfame K, sucralose and/or stevia extract are added to adjust the mixture for desired taste and desired sweetness. The pH of the mixture is again checked and magnesium glycerol phosphate is added to adjust the pH to be between 7 and 14.
