I came across this site Palm Oil Truth Foundation that said palm oil is a heart healthy and unsaturated oil rich in MCTs and antioxidants that can be part of any diet, especially the Zone.
I've found some of their articles really interesting and am currently trying out some low carb recipes I found there. It also talks a little about the deforestation/wildlife - palm oil issue. If you are interested, do check it out.
